President Donald Trump and Anthony Albanese signed an agreement on rare earth minerals. The U.S. and Australia governments are planning to invest more than 3 billion together into these critical mineral projects in the next six months. Australia states that they have an 8.5 billion dollar pipeline ready to go\u201d. They are also expected to discuss defence corporations, indo pacific stability and the Laukus nuclear submarine deal. Australia sensed an opportunity in recent US-China tensions over rare earth minerals. Albeanese aims to video a disastrous meeting navigating the U.S.-China tensions and domestic unease over aligning too closely with the US.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think this agreement stated in the articles is vitally  important because it is helping reduce the United States reliance on China.  It is helping make the United States less dependent on minerals, which are necessary for the creation and production of many technology products. Another discussed in the article agreement, follows the recent agreement formulated to co-produce guided weapons and the ANZUS Security Treaty from 1951, which creates the foundation of their security relationship. This article highlights that this agreement could greatly increase regional security. This agreement is vital for the United States and Australia because it will benefit their economic growth because of trade, from the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and it will continue strengthening national security through defense and critical mineral pacts. This agreement is important for the United States economic success and security because of the rising tensions with the US and China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not an event to do with human rights or growing war conflicts. The countries have negotiated and discussed the parameters of the agreement. However specific of what is included in the agreement have not been entirely formalized or shared with the public. The United States is looking to grow its security in that area and also distanced themselves from the trade conflict between China. Australia is looking to foster economic growth and technological cooperation.  This agreement should be a positive peace in the US and Australia’s history together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is connected to what we have discussed in class because it involves an alliance or agreement between two countries to benefit their national interest. This agreement is connected not only to Australia and the United States.but China as well. This agreement will benefit the United States national interest the most as it will help them for economic and security reasons. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
