Japanese researchers found a new way to create reproductive cells. That’s so cool that through globalization and sharing of ideas they have been able to create something as sophisticated as that. The cells can be used for any part of the body so this is really the new frontier of medicine. Their main goal is to make human eggs without using any other organism like mice which is really amazing.
Another article I read was about the Koreas and the United States. The UN chief said that Korean peninsula needs to denuclearize along with the US but it would have to happen simultaneously. Conversations about denuclearization between North and South Korea have been positive which is a good outlook for the future. But this doesn’t mean anything will actually happen which is irritating. I had another article talking about the denuclearization of North Korea. It talked about the meeting between North and South Korea and getting rid of their weapons. I feel like it’s going to take a long time for this to happen but the fact that there are conversations being had over this topic is a step into the right direction.
Another article I posted was about the bullet train that is connecting China to Hong Kong. I found it interesting on how there is so much controversy about this train even though Hong Kong is still apart of China even though they govern themselves. They still have to have a documented travel visa to travel in between China and Hong Kong which is something I learned as well. The controversy over this train is because this is the first time in years that China has had any ruling over them. Some people were saying this is the start to the collapse of hong kong, which I think is a little dramatic. There was a lot of money that was put into building this train, up to $11 billion dollars, so I can clearly see why there would be tension.
