China, Japan, and South Korea have made in agreement to increase travel between their three countries. Joining for the first time in five years their respective tourism ministers came up with a plan to boost their countries traveler rates up by 40 million from pandemic levels. They aim to reach this goal by 2023. Previously most of their countries traveling had been cut off or extremely lowered due to the coronavirus pandemic. Espeacially with the virus originating from Asia/China, they had to massively cut down on travels. However now that the pandemic is gone, their tourism needs a little help getting kicked back into gear. The new plan will involve increases to intrastate flights and cruises connecting between the three countries. Along with that they plan to make traveling easier by introducing more multilingual services, helping to move past the countries language barriers. They hope that adding those assets will incline they’re citizens to travel more often and even regularly.
Along with that, to enhance their profits, they are planning to highlight eachother’s natural and cultural attractions, adding more value to them. These improvements to tourism will help boost each countries’ economy. Capitalizing on the attractions each country has will reap enormous benefits. Although there are expenses that come with tourism the pros will end up outweighting the cons. Tourism rakes in huge amounts of money, which could help enhance each countries’ lifestyle, industrialization, military, or whatever else they choose to spend it on. A boosted economy is a key component to becoming a superpower as the saying goes- with money comes power.
This also could help the countries to become more familiarized with each other, leading to possible alliances or overall friendliness with eachother in the future. Their could even be the possibility of forming an IGO (International Government Organisation). Having a large portion of Eastern Asia united could be strategic move in becoming the worlds super power. Having money and alliances with neighboring countries puts them in a good position to try to enhance their world status if that is their goal.
