Many Americans believe that we are not putting enough effort into combating all the problems in the middle east. They think that there should be more military troops in some places and less in others. This is largely due to media telling its readers the things that will create the most buzz. Many people do not realize that the things they hear or read on the news are not always as serious as they might think. Conflicts that are most commonly talked about are usually getting better instead of worse.

One of the most common issues we hear about is ISIL or ISIS. While still a dangerous organization; ISIS has lately been very slowly fading with troops like the ones in iraq taking back their land. A less commonly known issue is the Houthi rebel group in Yemen. This rebel group has been targeting military bases and oil refineries in Saudi Arabia, but they claim to have done and be capable of doing much more damage than they have. Their claims however, come with no proof to back it up.

Syrian Refugees have been a huge part of politics and media lately. But it is heard that the civil war is starting to slowly wind down. This does not mean that countries should close their borders to said refugees since there is no evidence that the refugees have spiked the danger of the countries that accepted them. Conflicts in the middle east have been a large part of politics and the media for years, But this does not mean that the world is always becoming a worse place than yesterday.
