in the middle east and northern Africa, it seems there is never a dull moment. Just about every country in this region is going through some sort of turmoil at any given time. In the past, certain countries just haven’t gotten along very well, until now. It seems that Egypt and Israel are at an all time high in their relationship. This could be a possible broker for peace. they have common enemies, and separate religions are getting along. nut then at the same time, While in theory, the concept of closer Egyptian-Israeli ties is potential for pushing Palestinian-Israeli peace talks along, analysts say they are having an opposite effect by creating intra-Palestinian division and diverting Israeli responsibility to come to the negotiating table. So really anything could happen. at the same time as this, Egypt has also secretly traded for weapons with North Korea, breaking the trade embargo with them. This scared Egypt when the u.s. found out about this as fears of the u.s. stopping giving financial aid to the country was a real possibility. America does supply a lot of money for Egypt, Since 1979, Egypt has been receiving uninterrupted aid at an average of $1.6bn a year, the bulk of which goes to the military. And even though they have broken the embargo, the u.s. still plans to give aid to the country. Also In Libya, ever since the removal of Libya has become divided into two governments. and right now in a small town of Ubari Libya, there is still fighting going on over power. They are both fighting for their place in the new Libya, and while this may just seem like a small town fight, it has implications of growing larger and there still not being any real peace in that country until possibly a new leader comes to power or worse, if one of the sides of the fight just becomes wiped out.
