.-I didn’t speak much when we were doing the but when we went around and were doing the private negotiations, i talked to numerous countries and tried to see their sides of the story. My country was very powerful and we had numerous enemies. But once you come to a good medium for what you both want, it can eventually work.

.-I felt very prepared for the Simulation. I made notes on my phone and read over the packet numerous times. I memorized all the surrounding countries and our relationship with the other countries. In the end, we did accomplish what we wanted which was continuing to protect our weaker allies.

.-I enjoyed this simulation because it felt real. It felt like we were actually dealing with these problems first hand. It was like we were at the actual meetings that take place so often in the real world. We were critiquing the wording of the final paper so much, and thats what they do in the actual meetings.

.-I struggled with talking to the other “countries.” With getting my point across with them listening and hearing my side of the story. I also struggled with seeing some of my team mates points that they were making just because i didn’t agree with them. But at the end of the simulation everything worked out.

.-What could be changed in this simulation is having more information to start with. Like, how much money we have as a country, have more countries who agree with most countries. Not have as many different places in the world, put things in a more central area of the world.

.-I learned a lot from this simulation. Like how not everybody will agree on everything, how people have very different needs and wants for their people, how patient you need to be when listening to other peoples needs, and just to really think before you speak on such sensitive subjects.
