Between the Syrian war, oil prices, and general unrest the Middle East doesn’t seem to be becoming stable, but many developed countries aren’t doing anything to actually help the Middle East. The United States and Russia just tear the area apart and encourage rebellion, but finally China has taken rise to hopefully be a strong and stable presence in the Middle East. With the well known BRI China is now aiming to benefit the Middle East through infrastructure, sustainable energy, and multiple other programs without stepping on toes and creating even more unrest in the area. Hopefully China will be able to create a better economy which in turn will result in a better environment. Especially with sustainable energy, because although oil prices are the highest they’ve been since 2014, U.S. exports will soon make them drop and the Middle East does not yet know how to combat U.S. oil flooding the market.
