Well it seems as if the middle east is falling apart to some degree. Other places have promising futures. Like Jordan and Yemen both are in very dire straits economically. Saudi Arabia seems to be silencing dissenting parties. With the economic problems, it is inviting trouble to a already unstable part of the world. The unofficial coalition or IGO of the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia is attempting to bail out Jordan. The economic situation is really bad if prices on basic necessities rise, we may see conflict within the region, however it may not get that bad. That is if no crazies come out of the woodwork, if some obscure terrorist group takes power within Jordan, or it could be dissatisfied and discontent people desperate for change by any means. Meanwhile in Yemen, I can see no sign that the war or for that matter any conflict ending anytime soon. Also something to mention, the dismantlement of UNRWA and the replacement of Israeli services. Depending on your views this could be seen both ways. Personally I’m no fan of the United Nations, but I don’t like the way Israel is going about this whole thing. Also, calling the Palestinian refugees “fictitious” is rather suspicious. A dual state is a good way of going about and ending this plight. However the stubborn-headedness of both parties is making things difficult. Of course when is it ever easy to negotiate.

The journalist within Saudi Arabia’s disappearance is quite unsettling, as the man was “removed” in a Turkish embassy. The custom of cell phones not being allowed in embassies within the Middle East is understandable I think… you can’t set off any explosives preplanted. Anyway it does seem rather suspicious, but we will have to look at more dissenting journalists and how they end up.
