The Mysterious Disappearance of People Who Criticize Governments

Over the course of my lifetime I have noticed a recurring theme within governments and the people that serve them and openly criticize them. If the form of government is a democracy is tends to be more open to criticism than an autocratic form of government. As seen in the United States the newspapers and press constantly openly disagree with the government. Rallies happen around the United States to protest our governments and their actors. People who openly lead these protests however, are not killed or assassinated. In other countries around the world where they have governments that are not strictly democratic, such as in Russia or Saudi Arabia, this is not the case. People such as Jamal Khashoggi who openly criticize these governments are sometimes not always protected from the governments established to protect them. It is kind of ironic in a way. Jamal Khashoggi went into the embassy and was never seen again. A caravan of vehicles was seen by security cameras, stationed outside of the embassy but not belonging to the embassy, entering the facility. These same camera did not have any content that showed Jamal Khashoggi leaving the building. The Saudi Government has claimed they had no part in the disappearance and likely death of Jamal Khashoggi. They also claim that the embassy had no security footage because they have no cameras at all. This is suspicious because you would think a Saudi embassy would have the best technology available to them. Another reason to believe that Khashoggi was killed is of a witness account that they heard screaming and the sounds of a struggle and a sudden silence. A contraband of black cars was seen leaving the premises shortly after Jamal Khashoggi entered. This affects world trade because the Trump administration has stopped doing business with Saudi oil and has demanded the see evidence of Jamal Khashoggi’s life before they agree to do business again. This will affect gas prices in the United States in certain places and also will disrupt the economy in the United States.
