Alright, so the Middle East right now is more of a powder keg now than ever. The Kashoggi case is very damaging to our allies in the Middle East. We need to either help repair the damage done, or cut ties completely. Cutting ties seems like what we are doing right now. The Syrian UN Representative is stepping down and is travelling to Damascus to help with elections, but it may not work out as Assad seems like a shifty fellow. Or worse yet the elections could be rigged to have a corrupt official in power. And that would help no one. The situation in Gaza is a great cluster fudge. We have somewhat powerful forces trying to exert total influence on the region, lately it seems like an all or nothing for both parties involved. It is a powder keg waiting for a spark. Or this is the keg blowing up and maybe peace within that part of the world is in the future. Who knows what will happen.
