With the influence that a winner of the nobel peace prize has, its great thing to see that they are using their influence for the better, to stop sexual violence. Sexual violence is a topic that is hard to end in any country because it’s in every country. One of the winners was a victim of sexual assault herself under the islamic state in 2014, for her to reach out and use her knowledge and influence to make a difference is extraordinary. The amount of justice that has been served for sexual assaults in Iraq is low and even close to none. By both of them taking a stand, there has been major progress, and they plan to not stop in just Iraq. This is something that needs to be more talked about because it is a perfect example of what people with this type of influence can do. In other under-developed countries you see that big influencers are not using their power for good, to all countries as a whole, this needs to be brought up as a perfect example because without these two people, there may not have been the progress that there has been in Iraq. It doesn’t just stop in Iraq, even with them planning and moving on to other countries with this dilemma, the influence that they give victims in other countries is becoming monumental. There needs to be more action taken like this in other countries, not just from people, but from other countries that have more of an influence as well.
