International Relations Simulation Reflection

My role in the overal simultion was more in the informal negosiation because Brittan and Tanner handled more of the formal aspects for Malil. I think the place where most of my work took effect was negociating Gilbia’s treaty with the US to do some rewording as well as ajusting the Agreement to get our allies in a better possition. On the first day of this simulation I was 100% sure what to aspect but once wegot to informal I got the basic Idea and was able to get an idea what everyone involved wanted to do. I’d say personally I was able to accomplish what I wanted because my country wanted little to no American intervention, and it seemed to work out. I thought the aspect of not necasarly having to be the good guy was fun, and it opened up all kinds of opininons I wouldn’t normally have. The hard part for me in the simulation was always being formal, it was just hard to always remember to keep the vocabulary formal. I think one cool thing that could be added is some more countries that are allies to Gilbia, and Budan, and maybe another country that’s outside the realm in the simulation, like china or the Uk. This would add even more chaos, and arguments, and ultimatly more heads for more soulutions. I think the most important thing I learned is no matter what country you support or against, whatever actions they carry out they have justification in there eyes. Like from the movie how Iran saw the US as a problem because of the missles the US used on them, but America felt like it was justified because they don’t think the government is good for the citizens.
