Iran has been linked with nuclear weapons for a good amount of time now. Many countries opposing Iran have come to the conclusion that a country like Iran possessing many nuclear weapons would be scary with the damage they could do. The UK and Israel are some of the countries to take an initiative to make sure Iran does not become a nuclear power. The Israeli prime minister has already stated that he is nervous about the outcome of the Vienna talks since Israel is not on good terms with Iran. Israel’s foreign affairs minister, Yair Lapid, and the United Kingdom’s foreign affairs minister will be signing a deal to benefit each other in the category of cybersecurity.
It would be extremely concerning to see Iran as a nuclear power. Iran has supported and funded terrorist groups in the past like the Hezbollah group of Lebanon. The U.S. needs Israel as well. Israel has supported the U.S. and vice versa. To lose Israel would be detrimental as the U.S. would lose a significant ally in the middle east. However, it would be unintelligent for Iran to use their nuclear weapons (if they become a nuclear power) on Israel due to the fact that war could break out, and I’m positive that Israel would be backed by the U.S. and our military would be involved plus others. Iran would be fighting a war they couldn’t win.
This conflict brings up the idea of if every country has nuclear weapons, would any need to be utilized? If a nuclear weapon would be used by any country then a chain reaction would occur. Nuclear weapon threats would occur frequently if a nuclear weapon was used. The whole world could turn into a battlefield if anything terrible was to happen like that. But, that is why nuclear weapons haven’t been used for a while, and when a nuclear bomb was last used it was used as retaliation from the U.S. against Japan, as Japan also supported Hitler and the Nazis.
