The article reports on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s stance against normalizing relations with Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state. During a recent interview, he stressed the importance that peace in the said region is all depending on addressing Palestinian rights and dreams. The Crown Prince reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for a two-state solution as the building blocks for any future agreements. This stance highlights the kingdoms commitment to Arab solidarity and the long-standing Palestinian cause, undermining the way’s of middle east’s diplomacy and invites relations between Israel and other Arab nations even though most of the middle east is amist multiple conflicts in the current state of the area.

The Crown Price of Saudi Arabia is a man with a lot of power and influence he is someone who says one thing and it changes the way that others view the situation, I believe that with the Price of Saudi coming out to say that he want’s the two state solution that is almost out of reach for most other countries or even individuals to say to the press. I believe that if this man is talking about it he will do something about it, the reason he’s saying that he wants the two state solution is probably because of something that would benefit him. If the two state solution goes through right away and he has any influence in that he will gain so much support, but if that doesn’t happen then the side he supports will more than likely have their solution come to fruition, no matter what happens he gains support.

Each player in the equation of the Israel and Palestine conflict has stuff to gain and lose, the palestinian people have their homes and lively hoods that they might loose and even their culture, however they also have a lot to gain, like their own state due to Israels attacks. Israel could lose their country if Palestine really puts up a good fight, while the thing they could gain is more land and the migration of a people they don’t like out from near them. The Prince of Saudi Arabia could gain a lot of things from supporting Palestine there is really no downside of him supporting them.

In class we are constantly talking about how Geopolitical Alliances forge and shape how countries around them perceive and interact with them. we have discussed in class, how if one country is aligned with a country that means it’s giving up its own freedoms to do what it wants. In the middle east the control over borders is becoming very strict due to recent and plentiful amounts of conflict, the countries in the middle east might actually want to join a Geopolitical Alliance just to deal with the militant terrorist groups.
