Russia says it has identified the launch location from where a swarm of armed drones began their attack on two of its military bases in western Syria on Saturday. About 10 rigged drones with explosive devices went over Russia’s Hmeimim air base while a further three targeted the Russian Naval CSS point in the nearby city. The russians at the base were able to shoot down 7 of the drones before they landed and exploded. A near by village of Muwazarra in the southern Idlib province has been identified as the official launch site. Muwazarra is designated a “de-escalation zone” under a deal between Russia, Turkey and Iran. this has been a recent area of conflict between forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and other forces backed by Turkey. The recent conflict between russians and syrians is as of right now unidentified but i believe. But it is shocking to me that the drones were set off in the “de-escalation zone.” To me, it seemed like that would’ve been a place where things were settled and peaceful.Especially since it was in agreement with all three of the countries. But i guess those places don’t exist in many places of the world nowadays.
