Saudi Arabia shut down major oil pipelines that were stuck by drone attacks, thought to be back by Iran’s militias in Iraq but they denied involvement. Iraq confirmed that the attackers originated from its territory, the government is investigating and dismissed two senior officials. Iraq government has set a date that these militias groups should disarm which is Sept 30th but the groups said that they will not disarm. Iran backed Houthi rebels make a push in Yemen’s west cost which is having bad effects to the Saudi backed coalition. The Houthis seized an Island, it is a big passing through 12% of the world trade passes through there. Trump said that Iran was probably behind the pipeline attacks.To sum this up Saudi has closed there oil pipelines tepperlay after drone strikes that where backed by Iran but not confirmed while in Yemen the Houthi rebels take an Island which is a set back for the Saudi backed coalition.
This article shows that the terrorist groups are getting a lot stronger because of country’s backing them up and supplying them weapons. Iran is backing more terroir groups after the Israel strikes on Iran, in my opinion I think it is because they feel like every one in the regain is ganging up on them so they are backing these terroir groups to go try and take over land to take country’s rescores and cause chaos.There has been a civil war going on in Yemen since 2014 and the saudis got involved in 2015 but right now the Houthis are testing the limits of the Saudias.
This has a global impact and also a bigger region impact. The oil market could go up after this since the pipelines held 4-5 percent of the worlds oil. This could send the price to over 100 dollars a barrel. The Iraq government is trying to diss arm all of these terrorist groups by Sept 30th and this has lead to Iraq closing there borders with Iran and kicking out 2 of there military leaders. The Houthis testing the Saudis limits by taking over an Island could lead up to the Saudis going in boots on the ground to try and kick them out of Yeman because they took over an Island which 12% of globe trade passes through there.
One of the IGO’s is IEA- International Energy Agency, this IGO is affected because they are considering going into an emergency oil reserves which means they will open up the oil reserve that they have stored away. The USA is a Nation State they could be affected because the gas prices will go up which affect the US ecommany.
