After a recent conference held centered around Chinese and Indian political relations, the United States has responded…maybe? Trump Jr. is visiting India for a week, but as a private citizen, mainly on business selling real-estate throughout the state. However, Trump Jr. will be speaking at the Economic Times Global Business Summit this week in New Delhi on, “Reshaping Indo-Pacific Ties: The New Era of Cooperation.” Simply put, if this visit is just for business, then why is he delivering a speech on foreign policy?
This is because the U.S. sees the threat of improved China-India relations and the United States doesn’t want that to happen. Therefore, the U.S. is putting someone in India to speak directly about policy regarding this issue – “Reshaping Indo-Pacific Ties.” Trump Jr. will be taking this one step further by calling this a “New Era of Cooperation” between India and the U.S.. this is also a new era economically considering India’s exponential population growth and therefore possibilities for the future.
