It is no surprise that India is experiencing a water crisis; this is for many reasons.. exponential population growth, infrastructure deficits, little access to potable water… unfortunately humans are reactionary creature, and not until we are on the brink of a bottomless drought will we find a solution, or better yet, live more sustainably. However, India does realize they do not have a good standing with access to potable water, or simply water at all in their country, so they have made deals with other countries for water rights.
Furthermore, Jammu is a controversial area, but right now all differences are being set aside and the Rohingya muslims have taken center stage. This is more proof that refugee crises have world-wide repercussions; are not just problems for the country at the bottom of it. Hopefully this problem can be sorted out soon.
