Kazakhstan provides military support to Tajikistan to help with border defenses against its neighboring country, Afghanistan. They will provide weapons, ammunition, and manpower to strengthen the border and hopefully prevent any further attacks on Tajikistan. Deputy Defense Minister Talgat Mukhtarov said that the support of military materiel would not hurt Kazakhstan’s defense capabilities. Tajikistan is one of the smallest countries in central Asia so military support is very important to the defense of the borders. This is a good way to help Takikistan become a stronger nation. If borders can be controlled through the use of military power then Tajikistan will be viewed as a stronger country than it was before. It is known that Tajikistan is one of the weakest countries regarding military in central Asia so Kazakhstan knew that they needed to step in and help a country that would not be able to make it on their own. Kazakhstan hopes that this support will allow Tajikistan to be able to use it if needed and be able to maintain a stronger military force.
