Nepal’s Prime Minister, Sharma Oli, was rushed to a hospital in the country’s capital on Wednesday. Oli’s spokesman is saying that it was just a routine checkup and nothing to worry about, however, newspapers and other reporters and receiving different information. Media is saying that Oli went to the hospital for dialysis for his kidney. According to Nepal’s national newspaper, Oli underwent dialysis for renal disease in the hospitals intensive care unit. It was also reported by another media outlet that he was undergoing the same treatment Thursday. I believe that the hospital visit had to be more than a “routine check up”; if how it is being described as he was “rushed” to the hospitals urgent care and went twice in two days, there has to be a bigger problem going on. Also, since it is known that Oli had already gone to Singapore twice in August for doctors that could remove antibodies, it would make sense that he needed to go to the hospital now, in November, for something a bit more urgent if needed. This could pose a threat, however, for the country. Because of Oli’s age, 66, and him allegedly going under dialysis and treatment, the country does not know how much longer Oli will live or if something more serious happens where he is gone for days, weeks or even months. The public knows that twelve years ago he underwent a kidney transplant in India, so complications can come up, the problem is, he frequently travels to other countries like India, Thailand and Singapore for follow-up treatments. With his time being so focused on his health, it may be time for Nepal to focus its attention on a potential new Prime Minister and head of the Nepal Communist Party. But in the end, Oli should focus on his health and continue his check-ups and dialysis, just be more truthful with the country and media so no sources will begin to make bizarre and fatal rumors about him and his health.
