Nepal has been experiencing similar struggles to the India Covid-19 crisis. India has been facing huge death rates, similar to Nepal. The Covid-19 death rates have been soaring, and as a result there have had to be mass cremations. This is leaving working exhausted and overworked. Nepal has officially recorded the highest number of single- day jump in Covid cases- leaving the healthcare system in shambles. The government of Nepal is preparing for it to get worse, as they assume the the current life of India is days away. Less than 1% of the population of Nepal has received both doses of the Covid vaccine, leaving little hope for the rates to fall.

When countries like Nepal, or India, are suffering this terribly- it should be crucial, and non-questionable, for other countries to be putting their hand out to help. The United States has already rolled out millions of vaccines, and with it being a developed country with a strong healthcare system, and with a huge percentage of the population having been vaccinated, they should sacrifice some of the extra vaccines to go to countries struggling like India and Nepal. It is very heartbreaking knowing that so many people are struggling, have lost their lives, and have not been able to say goodbye to loved ones. If other countries are experiencing dropping or lower Covid rates, they should donate or provide resources to help bring these rates down as well.

Covid-19 has been a terrible situation for everyone- but it is important to realize who took the worst of the virus. Underdeveloped countries did, and underdeveloped countries are still getting hit. Being able to give out a helping hand to these countries, if your country is not struggling should be crucial. NATO could be asking the countries that are experiencing really low Covid-19 rates and higher percentages of the population being vaccinated to be donating and providing resources that they do not need.
