Somalia has had shaky relations with Kenya for the last 6 months but are now trying to restore diplomatic ties with one another. The reasoning for the tension can be attributed to a longtime maritime dispute for the waters near their borders. Both countries have agreed that this renewed peace is very promising and helpful to each of them. They have met with special conflict resolution specialists and are currently working in the World Court to resolve the dispute.
