I was a member of Malil, along with Spiro and Mckenzie. Mckenzie was really comfortable speaking so she did most of the statements. We had a huge shared document we all added stuff too. Spiro and I wrote our Opening statement. Going into this we had certain things set out for us to do, for example we were not going to let any refugees into Malil. We did keep that throughout the simulation and in the end had 0 refugees. I thought the simulation was really fun and a good way to apply the things we learned. Being a little shy, i sometimes had things to say but didn’t want to say them, so sometimes I would bring up my thoughts and Mckenzie would speak them. I think it was a good well thought out simulation, and do not have anything that comes to mind to be changed. I feel like I gained a better understanding of the “prisoner’s dilemma”, that you dont always know if you can trust the other person to help you out.
