This is one of the worst things that can happen in a country, it is not a war occurring in the country, but the president himself feasting while millions of people in his country, that he is supposed to be helping, are starving and are looking for scraps in the garbage like animals. The fact that this is still occurring in the 21st century is disgusting. You would only expect to see a king feasting on lavish food while his people starve every day centuries ago, but no this is happening now. And with one of the biggest people on social media having a part in this makes it worse. Salt Bae should be using his popularity on social media to bring light to this issue and show who Venezuela’s president really is, not be the one who is serving him the steak that is so rare to find in Venezuela nowadays. The world should see this as a bigger issue than what it is being seen as right now. There are other news that are not as important that are just casting a shadow over this. If this news story was really getting the attention it deserved and the world did more about it, I believe that the president of Venezuela would be out of office or would have more of a hatred towards him. And the people who are mocking him are being charged and sentenced to jail, but that is making the front page. The world needs to see that this is a major issue and it is not a war being fought. It is a president who clearly is showing that he has no love for his country or his people. There needs to be a change about this because this is definitely not the first time that this has happened to an underdeveloped country and there needs to be a stop to this. And with the huge amount of following that Salt Bae has, he also needs to have recognition that he was part of this and made it worse by not using his influence for good.
