China has recently begun expanding their nuclear warhead arsenal. This was caused by the conspiracy in 2020 that was created in the Chinese news that said that the U.S. was going to start war. The conspiracy became popular enough that the Chinese government started expanding their arsenal. China’s warhead arsenal is reported to be at 200 warheads right now, but is to be expanded to be around 700 nuclear warheads by 2027. Even though China is slowly but surely building their military, General Mark milley says that he does not think a military conflict between China and the USA is likely in the near future, specifically saying it is unlikely in the next two to ten years.
The article for some reason seemed to be avoiding the Chinese and the Taiwanese. Some believe that the Chinese is slowly building up its army and preparing to invade the Taiwanese but that has not seemed to be mentioned throughout this article. On the other hand, it might have been a distraction to give them an excuse to build their military without concerning the Taiwanse. It is very clear that the world is becoming more and more dangerous every day that nuclear warheads are being created. Countries continue to use them as threats to other countries to show power.
This is proving the hourglass diagram that was shown in class. This is shown because China is slowly becoming a more and more powerful country which will soon be able to match our country. Thus, becoming a bi-polar system once again. As it is right now a unipolar system with the United States at the top. Following the hourglass model from unimodal, to bi-modal, to multimodal, and then repeating itself. I think that China has shown itself to be more and more capable of becoming a much more powerful country throughout these months. And in the next few years may even be a serious threat to the United States.
