The man is being fined for saying something disrespectful about Putin, but there is a new ban that prevents anyone from saying anything disrespectful about any government official. The law has been in effect for 2 days before this man was fined. After the day of there have been protests for the man that was fined. The phrase itself is not really offense so people have been wondering what there is to really say that is not offense. This is another step in the direction of communism that Russia has taken. There should be some say from the other countries that could possibly stop Russia from taking away the right to say whatever the people of Russia want to.
