As the majority of people know, a missile from Ukraine landed in Poland and killed two people. The town where said missile landed is 6 kilometers away from the Polish-Ukrainian border. The US and Poland had started the investigation, but now Ukraine had sent over some of their own to aid it. There is controversy now over who the missile belonged to, because NATO and the US say it came from a defense system in Ukraine, while Ukraine denies it and claims it came from Russia.
I’m not surprised that this happened really, I’m just glad that this didn’t really set anything off. Because only a day or so after this event happened, there was talk about activating certain NATO articles that would not have led to good things. I am however interested because what will happen if the missile does turn out to be Ukraines? And what will happen if it turns out to be Russian? Just have to wait at this point.
This pertains to class because this is in my assigned region, and because it’s a current event. Not much else to it.
