Out of my four articles this week the most interesting one was the Palestinian prisoners launch mass hunger strike. Overall, the article describes how in Israeli prisons, Palestinian prisoners are on a hunger strike in order to improve conditions and treatment in the prisoners. I knew that there were tensions between the Israelis and the Palestinians but I didn’t think that conditions in a prison could be that bad. To not provide a water to a sick prisoners is appalling. Water is a basic necessity so why is there even a thought of not giving them water. Despite the difference between the two nations, no person should be denied any life necessities or be mistreated. That is why I agree with the hunger strike. For conditions to have gotten so bad that they have resorted to that, there is a definite problem that must be changed. I am also pleased that other people are supporting the Palestinian prisoners. No groups should be mistreated just be cause they are in a foreign nation. I feel that since they are already in prison, the prisoners should still be given some better treatment since they are human beings
