Lebanon’s economic crisis continues, with no apparent progress in forming a new cabinet, protests continue to rage on the streets. Some businesses have begun to create caps on how much of different items customers are allowed to purchase due to people stockpiling in their homes. This economic crisis has been occurring since 2019, and Lebanon’s peopel are not happy about it “they’re humiliating people with a bag of milk” and “the ruling class must go” was heard from protestors. Lebanon has not had a good going of things, with one crisis after another not giving the country time to recuperate. Most recently, the government resigned after the Beirut blast, and Saad Hariri was chosen to form a new cabinet. The country is in desperate need of foreign aid, but many countries are seeking anti-corruption reforms before becoming involved in aiding Lebanon.

This crisis is definitely one that should be solved quickly, especially due to the growing unrest among citizens. My prediction is that if the cabinet is not reformed or the economic crisis is stopped through foreign aid quickly enough, the people of Lebanon may take action for themselves and start a coup. This is definitely an area the world should keep an eye on.
