Last Wednesday, Isreali Defense Forces came out with an explanation for the mysterious Grob G-120 “Snunit” accident that occurred last November where a instructor and Cadet were killed. The investigation found that the stall was caused by a weird maneuver of the aircraft. This “phenomenon” was not known to the Isreali Air Force Prior to this indecent, so the pilots were completely unaware of its existents. It was also confirmed that the stall was not caused by the plane design itself as that model had been in commission for 20 years without any issues like the one we are observing now.
I think that this is a horrible event. In the case of any mysterious plane crash, I always wonder what the full truth was. There are so many factors that I feel as though the article isnt taking into account. What was the pilots experience? What was the purpose of the flight? Was there any history of crashes or incidents with this pilot? Weather these answers are out or not, I still think that there needs to be more context into what actually happended.
I don’t really see how this applies to class. I’m not going to try to make something up acting like it does. Still thought it was an interesting event so still decided to write about it.
