Iran and US met for a ‘constructive’ talk about reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, with another meeting planned for Friday.Trump had the US exit the accord in 2018, leading Iran to act out against the sanctions.A spokesman called the steps taken in the meeting useful and constructive, but admitted it would be difficult to resolve the matter. Bringing Iran back into the deal will help ease tension in the middle east, particularly with Saudi Arabia, which fears Shi’ite Iran gaining nuclear power.
I hope that the US and Iran are able to come to good terms so that both can re-enter this agreement, because I predict that if they do not, tensions will only increase and Iran will likely act out further. This deal is really important to ease tensions, as well as to keep nuclear powers in good hands that can be kept in check.
