A few days ago I did all of my article post but I posted them on to the wrong Region. So that’s why Grant and I have the same article (I added another to make up for it) but I did want to take the time to reflect on Gambia’s presidential election. Its been an strong American tradition since the founding of the United States that powers shift peacefully. It must be incredibly frustrating for the people of Gambia for there president not willing to step down from power. The vote was very divided, 43% to 59%. It makes you appreciate America and our up holding tradition. Although our country is very divided, we still hold firm to our beliefs and will peacefully transfer power this coming January.

I found the article discussing Africa’s arable land having to import grain to feed it’s population very interesting. As Africa’s population increases and is supposed to hit 1.3 billion by 2050, meaning the more food the continent will need in the future. And although the have a quarter of arable land in the world they are still requiring to import their grain. Sub-Sahara Africa needs to come to a solution in order to solve this problem. It’s necessary to expand their agriculture in order to meet the needs of the people.
