This worm can make anyone who gets it more susceptible to getting cancer and aids. This outbreak has been going on for almost two decades and there is just now a treatment that helps with the signs of infections, it doesn’t 100% prevent the infection. The worm lives and grows in water and can only survive in unclean water, which, Africa is very known for and has had the issue of getting clean water. The dirty water is making the worm spread faster and further, eventually to Europe. I would guess that when there is a threat of a disease spreading, especially spreading to a major country like Europe. there needs to be more being done other than what already is, because this disease has been there for two decades and has no sign of stopping, there are more diseases there too, like ebola, which may have been stopped in other countries but, still lives in Africa and still threatens the people. The first thing that needs to be done, is to try to fix the water issue and that could help the majority of the fight against these diseases.
