As the NBC stikes countries it is hindering the spreading of awareness about covid-19 and where to receive the vaccine if the public wants to receive it. The turn out from the public is very low and many people say that it is because the radio strike. towards the inland people simply do not have access to newspaper, internet or cell phones because they are so far from civilization. Radio was the only way to get information out to these people. They did state that they are running health workers to spread the news and give out shot but that only covers a small amount of people. With the radio workers going on strike it makes it even harder for the doctors to combat misinformation about covid-19 and the vaccine. overall the strike has severely hindered the progress of spreading the vaccination to people and informing people on where to get a shot.
this is a problem for getting the country back on its feet and getting people back to a life of normalcy. without the vaccination people cannot begin to slowly lessening mandets on masks and social distances as well as businesses not taking effects form this pandemic. Namibia does have a spread out population with some not having access to monderday royalties such as internet and cellphones. so another reason why the vaccination is so vidle is its ability to save lives for people who cannot make it into a hospital. that’s the true reason why it is such a big deal that the vaccine cannot make it to people all over the county of Namibia. The people at NBC need to figure out a solution because they are playing with people’s lives the longer they cannot give out the information for the vaccine.
How this connects to class is through a realist perspective you could say that the NBC strikers where being selfish and did not care about the other people in their state. They only cared about themselves because human nature is naturally selfish.
