President Joe Biden has already made some big moves in his first two weeks as president, with this being one of them. Biden says he will increase the number of refugees allowed in the United States from 15,000 to 125,000. Although this may take a while to pass in congress and could likely not take place till next year. Bidens administration plans to appoint a long time U.S diplomat for the middle east named Tim Lenderking, as a special envoy in Yemen. Biden is also considering addressing asylum claims to the residents of Hong Kong being persecuted by the chinese government.

This is good for america as they are facing multiple issues within the country and are expected to see a rebuild with their new president Joe Biden. In the article, after many of the good things mentioned about what Biden has done already were immediately after contrasted with the actions of former president Donald Trump, mainly seeming to criticize Trump. All the actions Trump had taken in office are basically being made better by president Biden. From this we could see relationships between America and countries in which they may have a poor relationship with, strengthen that relationship and hopefully come to peace with another.

With new President Joe Biden hopefully America can positively improve their impact in foreign policy and maintain their position as a large world power. The United States are a big factor in foreign policy, if president Biden were to constantly improve their foreign policy and relations with countries over his term, the United states will be able to increase but also expand their international power. They will be able to strengthen their ties with countries they have high interest in and possibly even create peaceful relationships with countries they hold a bad relationship with, such as Iraq, Iran, Russia, etc.
