Analysis Post: Mexico opens legal aid centres to fight US deportations

I think Mexico opening legal aid centers to immigrants is the smart choice to do since thousands of people are getting displaced with no chance of fighting back. The fact that high positions in politics are standing up for their own human rights and their citizens is promising for a country that is usually targeted by the U.S. It’s appalling when you read this article and many others and read that, yes illegal immigrants are the ones being deported, but also Mexicans that have lived in the U.S. are being deported too. But now they have a chance to fight back and defend themselves with free legal assistance provided by the centers. The U.S. is already on rocky grounds with Mexico, regarding when President Trump declared that Mexico would pay for the wall, so in my opinion we seriously need to sit down and focus on our current relationship with Mexico, considering that they are our neighbor. And as we all recall, President Nieto canceled a visit that was scheduled for January 31 when President Trump stated that Mexico was going to pay for the wall and Nieto refused and in response to Trump said that the extra funding was going to go towards protection of Mexican citizen’s rights. Overall, we need to act fast and efficiently because this issue is causing a source of “concern and irritation” with Mexico and the last thing we need on our hands is our closest neighbor getting mad with the U.S.
