I think it is concerning that new terror cells keep popping up in eastern Europe. Even if ISIS is defeated, these could continue to exist. However, at least law enforcement was aware that Inès posed a threat to safety. Yet, if they were aware they should have stopped the plan at an earlier stage. The gas cans could have exploded and were strategically located to target the western religion. Law enforcement should increase security at symbols or locations of western religion since they present a logical target for radicals.
I think the asylum-seekers in this particular situation brought it onto themselves by not only refusing to comply with the police but also throwing things at them. The situation is already precarious and they only exacerbated tensions. Now, the asylum-seekers have given the residents another reason to seek their removal. The asylum-seekers best path is to keep a low profile and refrain from all conflict. On the flip side, I can understand that the residents are upset because their communal space is being invaded by total strangers. However, I think they should consider that the asylum-seekers are going through a very stressful, tumultuous lifestyle change; their behavior could be more a consequence of the situation and less of a reflection of their true character.
