Any and all Nazis that were involved in the mass murder of the Jewish people should be convicted and sent to jail. No question about it in my mind. It gets a little excessive though when a German court is putting Hubert Zafke on trial for the fourth attempt. I’m only saying that because the man is 95 years old. If he ever does get convicted, I’m sorry to say it, but he isn’t going to last long in jail. Later stated in the article is the trial against Ernst Tremmel who died before he could even make it to court. Even stated in the article is that it is getting harder to convict them since all the last surviving Nazis are in their nineties. What is even more asinine is prosecutors in Germany are allowed to put suspects on trial and link them to the killings when there might now even be real life evidence actually connecting them to the crime. In my opinion, that is the wrong move to make. Why? Because, even though it’s not likely, some of these suspects might not even be connected to the mass murders during WWII. So yes, my thoughts on this is to just have some sort of leniency towards this people who are in their nineties. They did help kill over millions of Jewish people, but when you have to delay the trial three times before you can try again, that tells you something.
