Egypt tries to convince Israel to open more land crossings so more aid can get into the country

The article is about how Egypt is the main funnel in which the Gaza Strip is receiving aid. However, because of many different factors, they are not able to bring the aid needed. And while different groups have tried doing a fly-by when it comes down to it that just is not an efficient method. One of the issues Egypt claims to be facing is Israel closing a large land border. And in this article, the Egyptian foreign minister is trying to get Israel to allow this. This has led to much of the money and aid being stuck in the Egyptian peninsula of Sinai. And the other places where aid could get across are met with infective processing and long waits making them unable to get through quickly enough. Egypt believes that the Israel army is behind this however, the Israel army is claiming that it is actually Hamas that is slowing down the entire process. I think that Egypt is reacting and why they want to give support. In the article, I noticed that they said Egypt was worried about the Palestinians on the Gaza Strip border. This makes me think that Egypt is either worried about refugees or about the problem spreading into their country. What I think is very interesting is that the only reason Egypt may be helping is because they don’t want to see either one of these groups end up reading in the Egyptian area. In the future, I will be interested if they are able to shift out of a shatter belt region and become an actual region and which country will have enough to become the power. I think that can be related to class because in another part of the article I briefly discussed how different countries were trying to offer up a solution for the problem. The Spanish Foreign Minister claimed that at least 90 countries had helped come up with a possible solution at the international peace conference. In my opinion, showing the effects of diplomacy and creating a space where it can be exercised. I will be interested to see how, if at all the Israel and Palestine governments choose to follow it.
