On February 10, 2023, five central Asian countries began to meet in the city of Turkistan, Kazakhstan to discuss cultural and other pressing issues. Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are the members. This is the bilateral meeting that these countries conduct, and this time the pressing issues are trans-border water sources, environmental concerns, and the development of a more common cultural connection. These meetings are meant to connect the central asian countries together. And as of right now, this forum is looking optimistic on improvement to the region.

I’m not surprised that this sort of thing exists, I just don’t pay attention to this part of the world. It’s fascinating how little you don’t know. I can’t say much as I don’t know the issues that’s being discussed, but I can only be hopeful that good things come out of it. After all, recent developments to the area have been positive.

This article is related to class because the event is between multiple countries in my assigned section of the world.
