Thousands in Somali capital march in defiance after attack

Many people march the streets of Mogadishu to show defiance of the car bombings that killed more than 300 people and injured roughly 400. The attack has been blamed on militant group Al-Shabab. The protest did turn violent, police opened fire into the crowd injuring three people. The person who drove the truck with the explosives has been detained and also another person who was driving a Nissan filled with explosives was detained. Both terrorists managed to set off their explosives; however police believe that they wanted to carry out the attack at the international airport that has many embassies. Many of the people are comparing this to 9/11 and are questioning why this hasn’t gained much traction worldwide. This threat has been happening for the past 5 years and it appears that Al-Shabab are only getting better at their attacks.
