In America you can clearly see a gap within gender when looking at jobs, government positions, and overall society related activities. Unfortunately, America isn’t only the country like this. In Africa it is much much worse to an entire new scale of things. Most of East African countries are not only ranked as some of the worst countries that experience this gap. Not only do they rank as some of the worst countries, but the gap is widening as we speak. In Africa close to 0 women hold public office and most are told and forced to stay home with their children. In countries such as those that are within the country of Africa were education and health are a way bigger deal than they are in the more fortunate countries, women lack the same education and health compared to the men. This not only is horrible for the society but this can literally can cripple a country. With lack of women to populate the country or educate them to support their country they just cannot move on as a society. Researchers suggest that it would take roughly 217 years to completely resolve all of the gender gap issues throughout the world and about 114 just within Africa. This shows why African countries will never succeed like these European and American Countries, without equality there is no motivation of success or repopulation.
