Like many of these corruption stories, this doesn’t really surprise me in the least. Usually the person who is being tried, in this case Zuma, usually turns out to have done it but is trying to play the “I didn’t do this” and “this is a political agenda” to the very end. I will admit that these politics are especially good liars, but on the other hand I may be wrong. In most cases though, I am usually right about the politician being corrupt, I mainly just assume that every politician is corrupt to a certain degree. I feel a little sorry for the people though who are supporting him about his innocence, they really just don’t want to accept the hard evidence in front of them, I think that they want to believe that this authority figure is a good man being taken down by bad people, but their are always people who will support the corrupt, even if they believe that they are not. But Zuma is facing some pretty big evidence, like money laundering and payoffs, evidence like that usually has a paper trail, and stuff like that is hard to make up, even for small countries. I mainly hope that he will get a fair trial by the judge, who is said to be incorruptible, it must also be hard for that judge when their are certain large amounts of people against him. This entire situation just feels like classic “point the finger elsewhere” politics.
