Recently in Liberia, there was a mysterious death of the Journalist Tyrone Browne. There are several allegations of murder that are developing. One of the most prominent allegations is against His Excellency Ambassador Rufus Neufville, who supposedly knows who murdered the young journalist. He stated that, “The days of terror have resurfaces in Liberia.” He states that the murder was completed by members acting under the state. In response to this, the government has announced that this statement is, “irresponsible.” The People Action Network, an association that remains active in Liberia, has announced that they will not rest until the government turns in the people who have supposedly committed this murder.
I think that this could be the start of something bad for Liberia. If things like this were to continue, the infrastructure in Liberia could quickly crumble. I hope that there will be efforts towards increased security, as this could be develop into a threat towards their national security.
Whether or not this is a true accusation, it is evident that there is someone in Liberia wanting to cause problems.
