Europe is the leading continent in the world when it comes to refugees. Most of those refugees are coming from Africa. The instability in Africa has lead to africans crossing the sahara and the mediterranean. Recently Europe is sending back Africans back to african soil
The President of Ghana Nana Akufor recently released a statement saying “we owe it to our young people to create a environment they are proud of.” He wants to create stability in africa and make it so the young people of africa can have a life of fulfillment in africa.
The challenges of this start with his idea of appropriate policy. He says improving relevance in institutions, better the quality of public services, and clearing up economic policy. He says by improving appropriate policy in africa, their economy will grow.
Some key factors in making appropriate policy is they need stable economies and government. Corrupt government are all over african countries. Most of them manipulate or change their constitutions to keep them in power. The ones that are changing governments are trying to stay in power to stay wealthy and not give any money to the poor.
I’m not shocked the United States or the EU hasn’t gotten involved in the situation. The United States can’t try to help every country in poverty or unstable. Countries need to learn how to create their own policies and get themselves out of debt or a decline in their economy. If we had one or two countries trying to help everyone or paying for their debt. We would have something like soviet union in the late 20th century.
The EU has been told to pay for all the instability in africa because of imperialism and colonization. Africa blames Europe for all their problems. Most of their problems are from imperialism and colonization but it is Africa’s responsibility to take care of their national issues when they claim independence.
If africa wants to get out of poverty and have some stability they need to elect leaders who want to better their countries and not for the wealth. They need to establish some sort of group between Africa’s nations if they want to prosper and get out of poverty in the next five years.
