Recently in the city of kwale, Kenya a strike force of police led an attack on a location held by a terrorist organization know as Al-Shabaab. In the raid a most wanted criminal was killed and a few other members were injured. The following sunday the organization dispatched a bunch of members from Somalia into Kenya to destroy certain target location is response to the raid. The police force in kwale has already began preparing for any repercussion from the group and has been working to identify where they’ll strike. As of now they believe that Kenya Ports Authorities, Moi International Airport, and Standard Gauge Railway are there primary targets.
Authorities are worried that the group will attack hotels and resorts, killing many civilians. The members of Al-Shabaab at the moment possess weapons and vehicles they’ve stolen from the UN. The police forces are beginning to prepare for the worst and taking heavy precautions that their are minimal casualties. They are actively pursuing Al-Shabaab members by leading manhunts to try and capture the terrorist before they attack, with help from Somalians.
Terrorism is a real problem to everyone on the earth in today’s world. Especially in areas such as Somalia and Kenya where these behaviors are prominent. In these areas sometimes only small actions can result in a massive response that sometimes results in innocent people dying. In many of these areas where the government is poorly structured so terrorist and countries go head to head. I hope that the terrorist are found and executed before they cause any harm to innocent people.
