Zimbabwe reports its first strand of the Indian variant of the covid-19 Viruses. How they think it entered the country is though a college student that was attending college in india and then came home. All travelers from the Asian countries that are coming back to Zimbabwe have to go through mandatory quaritinging in order to get back into their country. The cause has been found in the centrally located town of kwekwe were the students returned to after his studies in India. Zimbabwe has been doing very well, in relation to other countries around it, in getting its people to get the covid vaccination. with some 600,000 people receiving the first dose. But because of this newly found case people are speculations that there will be a third wave that hits Zimbabwe. This is creating fear in the nation.

This could be the start of the third Covid-19 wave. If the state of Zimbabwe does not get ahead of this and fast then this could lead to thousands of people getting the new and more dangers stand of Covid-19. I would recommend quarantining the entire town for 2 weeks ounce everyone is tested and no person has the virus then they would have successfully evaded a possible 3rd wave. this will also be a good test on how effective the the vaccination is towards the new stand and if it will lessin or nullify the effects of the virus. If this breaks out again the state of Zimbabwe would have to face the very real reality of having to go into another quarantine. This would heavy affect the economy of Zimbabwe and effect the people even more to have to go through another gruelling wave.

You can relate this to class on a global level of analysis. If this India stand of the virus spreads all around the globe again it will affect hundreds of thousand of lives. crashing the global economy yet again and forcing everyone to impose heavy restrictions on traveling and tourism. this will affect even more people by taking nation that rely on tourism back to how they were at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
