In the midst of the Israeli- Palestinian conflict, people, and states are taking a stand. In southwest Pakistan, a pro-Palestine rally broke out a few days ago. During which multiple bombs’ were planted in a motorcycle went off- leaving many wounded and at least 7 dead. It is notable that Chaman, where the attack occurred, is one of them main boarder crossings between Pakistan and its neighboring country- Afghanistan. The boarder security is not the best, implying the person who planted the bombs could easily have left the country- being long gone by now; meaning there will be no one help accountable for the attack’s themselves.
The conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians is a very long, complicated, and complex one. Many people, especially in the areas that are closer to the conflict and that are more affected by the outcomes and the effects of the fighting, have strong opinions supporting one group and not the other. On Friday, the day of this attack, many rallies all across the world were help in support of Palestine. It is dangerous when people are not given safe spaces to express their beliefs and opinions, as it can lead to even more conflict and resentment towards one group. This ultimately leads to a greater divide and make the conflict one that effects everyone, everywhere, and making it much more complex to solve.
Issues and conflicts to this level are already extremely hard to solve, fix, or work through. It can be dangerous when other countries get involved- especially biased and violent countries who lack the knowledge on the entirety of the conflict, and why it is there to begin with. On and international scale- this might stop people from expressing their concerns or vocally supporting a group or side in fear of being attacked or suffering something like the people in Pakistan did. This is assumed to be someone or some group on the side of the Israelis-but when the people and citizens of Pakistan are hurt in the way they have been, it make it hard for greater resentment and conflict not to arise.
