Clashes between protesters and government supporters have erupted in southern Sri Lanka during a rally against a port deal with China. Dozens of people have been killed in a series of militant attacks on Tuesday throughout Afghanistan. Up to 30 people were killed and 80 wounded in twin bombings near the parliament in the capital, Kabul. Blasts at the governor’s guesthouse in Kandahar killed at least 11 and injured 14 including the UAE ambassador.

Conflict seems to break out in Kashmir on a weekly basis. The increase in anti-India protests shows that the Indian military is losing control of the situation.  I am surprised that only one civilian was killed because the large number of people protesting created a high risk level.

Deaths in Kashmir gun battle trigger anti-India protest

A 42-hour gun battle that started on Thursday has ended in Indian-administered Kashmir after two suspected rebels and one civilian were killed, triggering massive anti-India protests in the disputed region. A police officer said soldiers recovered bodies of the two suspected rebel fighters from the debris of a destroyed house in southern Arwani village on Friday.
